Jamestown Speech Team competes

The Jamestown Speech Team traveled to Bismarck High School on March 16. The results are as follows:

Kelsey Becker won Extemporaneous Speaking and qualified for the state tournament on April 20. She also placed seventh with her Speech to Persuade. Jana Lynch and Morgan Baumgartner won Serious Dramatic Duo; Lynch also placed eighth in Impromptu Speaking, fifth in Radio Broadcasting, and third in Humorous Dramatic Duo with partner Brittany McIntyre. McIntyre also placed third with her Speech to Entertain on procrastination.

Jasmine Glasgow won Radio Broadcasting. Anavah Cole finished fifth in Extemporaneous Programmed Reading, while Alicia Bryson was named Top Novice in the same event. Libby Kruse finished seventh in Poetry, and Kassi Manley was named Top Novice in Extemp Speaking.

Cassie Ost placed eighth with her Speech to Inform about 4-H.

No team scores were recorded at this meet.

The team travels to LaMoure for its last regular meet of the season. On April 6 the Regional Meet will be held in Mandan, and the State A Speech Meet will be held on April 20 at Jamestown High School.
