Jays host Saints tonight

The Jamestown High School volleyball returns to action tonight.

The Blue Jays put their 17-match winning streak on the line against Bismarck St. Mary's.

Jamestown tops the West Region standings at 11-0. They're 25-3 overall.

The Saints are currently fourth in the West at 7-3 and 15-8 overall. The Blue Jays beat the Saints 3-0 last month in Bismarck and 2-0 in Fargo Oct. 11.

It's the second-to-last regular-season home match for the Blue Jays. Mandan is here Nov. 5. Jamestown does have the advantage of hosting the West Region Tournament Nov. 14-16.

Tonight also is the annual Dig Pink match for breast cancer awareness. Fans are asked to wear pink to the match.

A raffle will be held with proceeds going to Women's Way.

The Blue Jays play at Bismarck on Thursday. The Demons are third in the West. If they can navigate two wins this week it would set up a marquee matchup Oct. 29 at Bismarck Century (11-1, 25-4) where the regular-season conference championship would likely be on the line.
