Jamestown Fire Department calls Feb. 6-27:

Feb. 9: 10:04 a.m., ready squad responded to 201 2nd St. SE, First Congregational Church, to a report of person(s) stuck in elevator. Firefighters were cancelled en route; person(s) were out. Time out: 10 minutes.

Feb. 10: 9:28 a.m., ready squad responded to 715 3rd Ave. SE, multi-family dwelling, to investigate smoke alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire; none was detected. Cause: plastic container. Fire alarm was reset. Time out: 1 hour 15 minutes.

Feb. 10: 3:01 p.m., ready squad responded to 2400 8th Ave. SW, Buffalo Mall, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire; none was detected. Cause: systems malfunction. Fire alarm was not able to be reset. Staff was advised to have the system repaired as soon as possible. Time out: 25 minutes.

Feb. 11: 11:11 p.m., ready squad responded to 1810 26th Ave. SW, Titan Machinery, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire; none was detected. Cause: systems malfunction. Fire alarm was reset. Time out: 45 minutes.

Feb. 12: 9:30 p.m., ready squad responded to 2605 Circle Drive, North Dakota State Hospital-Lahaug Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire; none was detected. Cause: broken equipment. Fire alarm was reset. Time out: 30 minutes.

Feb. 17: 9:48 a.m., fire department heavy rescue squad responded to the area of Interstate 94, mile marker 260, to a report of person(s) needing extrication from vehicle. Firefighters extricated one person from the vehicle. Cause: vehicle rollover. No firefighter injuries. Time out: 55 minutes.

Feb. 20: 12:04 p.m., ready squad responded to 437 3rd St. SW, single-family dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and a large amount was detected. Cause: unknown. Time out: 25 minutes.

Feb. 22: 2:38 p.m., ready squad responded to 104 1st Ave. S, single-family dwelling, to investigate odor smell. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire; none was detected. Cause: unknown. Time out: 20 minutes.

Feb. 24: 11:04 a.m., fire department responded to 1122 16th St. SW, garage, to a report of smoke. Firefighters checked and there was no fire. Cause: smoke from wood burning stove. No injuries. Time out: 20 minutes.
