Jimmies' 10-game winning streak snapped

Two overtimes ended in a split for the Jimmie basketball teams Saturday night in Madison, S.D.

After the third-ranked University of Jamestown women avoided a surprising upset bid by Dakota State in the opener, the Trojans clipped the UJ men’s 10-game winning streak in the nightcap.

The Jimmies already had the regular season title and No. 1 seed for the conference tournament locked up. They’ll host the winner of Presentation College and Mayville State Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Civic Center in the semifinals.

The Jimmie women, seeded second, host Valley City State in the semifinals Sunday at 3 p.m. also at the Civic Center.
