Johnson named Musician of Month

The Jamestown High School Music Department named Brianna Johnson the Musician of the Month for April.

Johnson plays flute in the JHS Wind Ensemble, pep band and marching band. She has been selected for the Junior High All-State Band (eighth grade), the Northwest Music Festival Honor Band three times (grades 9, 11 and 12), the University of North Dakota Honor Band twice (grades 11 and 12) and North Dakota All-State Band (11th grade).

Johnson has received star ratings at the Western Dakota Association Woodwind Festival on her solo for three years and on a flute ensemble. She has attended International Music Camp three times and was principal flute in the summer of 2013. She has also been involved in JHS varsity swimming since the seventh grade and was co-captain in her junior year and captain in her senior year.

She is president of the French Club, a member of National Honor Society, a member of Science Olympiad (grades 9-11) and works at Dairy Queen.

She is the daughter of Chris and Andi Johnson.
