Jury selection begins in gross sexual imposition case
Jury selection got under way in the trial of Adrian Williams in Southeast District Court in Jamestown this morning. Williams is charged with gross sexual imposition, a Class AA felony. He is accused of forcing a woman to have sex with him in March 2013.
Bob Martin, Williams’ court-appointed defense counsel, questioned members of the jury pool through the morning. Fritz Fremgen, Stutsman County state’s attorney, will question potential jurors this afternoon.
Opening statements are expected after the jury selection process wraps up this afternoon. The trial is expected to last three days. A Class AA felony is punishable by life in prison without parole.
