LaMoure notches two wins in Valley City
LaMoure Post 19 won two games at the Valley City Leevers Tournament on Sunday.
Warcken, who had four strikeouts and walked three, allowed a double to Nate Soulis and a single to Ben Friebel.
Nolan Kratz pitched well for Jamestown, allowing just two earned runs on five hits with nine strikeouts.
One of the hits allowed was a solo home run by Jared Meiklejohn. Anthony Olson doubled and scored for LaMoure.
LaMoure banged out 12 hits in beating Valley City 11-7.
Meiklejohn, the shortstop for Valley City State University, led the way again going 3-for-4 with a double, triple, two RBI and a run scored. Olson was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and a stolen base. Parker Stemen had two RBI and scored twice.Winning pitcher Roddy Gentzkow helped himself with two RBI as Post 19 upped its record to 15-5.
