Letter to the editor: Derailment coverage does not tell the whole story

By Joseph DuPont, Towanda, Pa.

Coverage of the release of 400,000 gallons of crude oil into our environment, due to a train derailment in west of Casselton, N.D., has been sanitized to prop up President Barack Obama’s faltering image. Obama’s war on the Keystone XL pipeline will cause more of these environmental nightmares to take place.

It is amazing how most stories don’t tell exactly where this oil was going. Yes, some say it was going west. Would Warren Buffett, Obama’s buddy, be profiting from the president’s delay of the Keystone XL pipeline? (BNSF is owned by Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc.)

How much should society and the environment pay for Obama’s friends to get even richer? When will the Associated Press stop being the propaganda arm of the White House?
