Letter to the editor: Fireworks ordinance should be reduced from nine days
The issue before the Jamestown Legal and Finance Committee meeting at 4 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall is quite clear. Should the ordinance regarding the sale and use of personal fireworks in Jamestown be reduced from nine days?
If you think the nine-day time frame for the sale and use of personal fireworks is excessive, be at the meeting, call the mayor and the City Council members and express your views. Change is possible and necessary.
I favor the four-day time frame — July 2-5.
