Letter to the editor: Media should be unbiased and report the whole story
Well, is the political season starting early or is the media doing its job? No one can miss the media’s coverage of Chris Christie. Is it because he may run for the presidency in 2016 or because the media feels he should be held accountable for what happens on his watch? I think it would be a better world if people were held accountable. What troubles me is, where was this same media during the “Operation Fast and Furious” hearings? Remember when people died because our government gave guns to Mexican drug gangs? U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder testified before Congress and said he didn’t know anything about it. Congress requested documents from Holder and he gave them some. President Barack Obama used his executive privileges to seal away the rest of the documents.
Where was the media when Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton ignored security requests from our ambassador in Benghazi, directly resulting in the death of that ambassador and three other Americans. Now that we know that their deaths were preventable, will the media call for the responsible party’s resignations? The media made sure we all thought the attack to be a result of a video, yet we now know that Obama and Rodham Clinton knew within 20 minutes that this was a terrorist attack. In former Defense Secretary Robert Gates’ book, it states that this administration made decisions for political reasons and not for the good of our country. Obama and Rodham Clinton were so busy getting him elected that they left four Americans out there to die, and the media let them get away with it.
The media should be unbiased and report all of a story. The liberal media is for gay rights and abortion so we don’t hear any stories about AIDS and the 1.2 million people walking around infected. Nor do we hear about the tens of thousands of pro-lifers in Washington, D.C., for the 41st anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court abortion decision Roe v. Wade.
As I said, people should be held accountable but who holds the media accountable for their double standards?
