Letter to the editor: We are blessed to live in a great state and Jamestown
With the long cold winter some days it has been challenging to think positive. Sometimes it is good to get an outsider’s perspective. We all know that North Dakota is doing well financially but a recent article in the Huffington Post confirmed what a lot of us already know.
The oil boom has brought growing pains and challenges but has also brought increased wealth and wages, helped provide a significant surplus and brought great employment opportunities.
According to a recent Gallup-Healthways report, North Dakota ranked No. 1 out of all states for well-being. According to the article, North Dakota has a lot of good things going for it, and it was rated No. 1 in physical health and work environment.
I have traveled and done business in almost every state. The more I travel the more I appreciate Jamestown and North Dakota.
There are a lot of good, hard-working people in North Dakota who genuinely care about their work, their fellow workers and the people they serve. Most importantly, they do it with a smile.
We are blessed to live in a great state and, in my opinion, the best city in that state. Spring is coming!
