Man killed in crash identified
Jamestown North Dakota 121 3rd St NW 58401

MIDWAY TOWNSHIP, Minn. — The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday identified the man killed in a Midway Township crash Tuesday as Benjamin Edward Snyder, 25, of Wrenshall, Minn.

Snyder was killed when his pickup struck a semi at Midway and North Cloquet roads.

Emergency response personnel were dispatched to the scene just before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. The sheriff’s office reported that witnesses said a black Toyota Tacoma was southbound on Midway Road when it crossed into the opposite lane, striking a semi with a crane attachment head-on.

The driver of the semi, a 58-year-old man from Superior, Wis., had non-life-threatening injuries.

Midway Road was closed for several hours after the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
