Email

A 31-year-old Jamestown man arrested Sunday evening at the University of Jamestown for allegedly carrying a gun will not face any state charges.

Jamestown Chief of Police Scott Edinger said Monday that no charges will be filed against the man by the Stutsman County State’s Attorney’s Office. The paperwork will be forwarded to Jamestown City Prosecutor Leo Ryan for his review. He may face local charges.

“He might be charged with disturbing the peace,” Edinger said.
