Man seriously injured in stabbing at Minnesota campground

ELBOW LAKE, Minn. – A woman was arrested east of this western Minnesota city early Saturday after allegedly stabbing a man, causing him serious injuries.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office and Elbow Lake police received a 911 call at 12:46 a.m. from a 38-year-old man who said he had been stabbed at a remote campsite in Tipsinah Mounds Campground.

Authorities found the man severely injured with multiple stab wounds. The victim was taken to Prairie Ridge Hospital in Elbow Lake and later transferred to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo. His condition was unknown Saturday evening.

A 31-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of first-degree assault.

The investigation is ongoing, and no additional information, including the names of the people involved or what prompted the incident, were available Saturday.

Elbow Lake is about 80 miles southeast of Fargo.
