Masons build new lodge
Members of the El Zagal Shriners and Masons have helped construct a new Masonic Lodge for the local unit, donating more than 920 hours of labor, said Nick Scherbenske, master of the Mason Lodge.
Although some help was hired, the majority of the work was done by volunteers.
Construction on the new building began in September, said Bob Nustad, member. The new building measures 4,000 square feet on both the basement and first floor. Once completed, the building will host social functions and other meetings for both groups.
The new building will include space for a kitchen, office, meeting area and high-ceilinged fellowship hall.
