MINOT, N.D. (AP) -- A new student wellness center on the Minot State University campus should be completed by April.
The Minot Daily News reports that student activity fees are paying for construction of the 60,000-square-foot, $15 million facility.
The old student fitness center was in the hot, musty basement in the old Swain Hall. When that hall was renovated, the center was moved temporarily to the top floor of the Minot State University Dome.
Wellness Center director Paul Brekke says he's excited to have more opportunities for the students.
Amenities will include two intramural courts, a student weight room, an athletic weight room, a wrestling room, a three-story rock wall and a cardio room.
