Montana girl killed in rollover accident

A 16-year-old Sidney, Mont., girl was killed Wednesday evening in a rollover accident east of Sidney, the North Dakota Highway Patrol reported.

Two 16-year-old girls from Sidney were traveling south in a 1999 Ford Explorer on Cheney Creek Road, near the Montana-North Dakota state line, when the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle, which ran into the west shoulder and overturned. Both girls were ejected, and the vehicle came to a rest on the roadway.

Authorities had not determined whether the driver or passenger died in the crash.
