Janet Van Bruggen presented two readings. In “Boy Does this Sound Familiar or What!” members could see themselves being distracted throughout their daily work and leaving several things undone. The second reading was “Music for the Aging,” based on the song, “These Are a Few of My Favorite Things.”

The secretary’s and treasurer’s reports were approved as read. Members voted to keep the club’s annual dues the same at $5 per person. All members present paid their dues for the year 2014.

The door prize number drawn was for DeLette Winkelman, a gift certificate for a meal at the James River Senior and Community Center. The treasurer was instructed to purchase a supply of certificates for this year’s meetings.

The next meeting is at noon Feb. 4 at the Legacy Center. Van Bruggen will fill in as secretary during the month of February.

Everyone played bingo with Millie Wilkinson winning the small picture frame, DeLette Winkelman the large picture frame, and Norman Winkelman blackout.

Cards were played with DeLette Winkelman and Sharon Hatlewick winning high in Whist. Willie Kamletz and Harold Ratts shared the low prize. In pinochle, Harriet Kartes won high and Gerald Van Bruggen got the low prize.

The OK Club furnished the afternoon dessert and coffee.

Guests are always welcome to meetings and should use the door on the west side of the building and then follow the arrows once inside.
