Montpelier OK Club to meet Feb. 18

The Montpelier OK Club met at the Legacy Living Center Feb. 4, with 10 members and one guest, Lola Conley, present. President Marlys Boughton brought the meeting to order with the pledge to the flag.

Janet Van Bruggen presented readings: “Two Elderly People,” “Where Have All the Grandmas Gone?” and “Trust Your Husband.” Boughton read an Ann Landers piece about “What Mother Taught Me.”

The secretary and treasurer’s reports were approved as read. There was no business.

The door prize number was drawn with Millie Wilkinson winning the meal ticket.

The next meeting is at noon Feb. 18 at the Legacy Center.

Everyone played bingo with Lorraine Gall winning small picture frame. Boughton won the large picture frame and blackout.

Cards were played with Willie Kamletz and Conley sharing high in whist and Gall, low. In pinochle Van Bruggen won high and Wilkinson got low. Harriet Kartes furnished lunch in honor of her birthday.

Guests are always welcome to attend meetings. Use the door on the west side of the building.
