Motion to reconsider JSDC agreement over restaurant fails
A motion to reconsider Stutsman County's endorsement of the Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corp.'s agreement with Brian Lunde concerning the sale of the Buffalo City Grille died for a lack of a second at a special County Commission meeting Thursday.
Commissioner Dale Marks had asked for the meeting.
"I've had calls about this situation," he said. "People are upset and had questions about the agreement. People are concerned and there needs to be some explanation."
While the commission took no action, the agreement will be on the agenda of the Jamestown City Council next week.
During its regular Oct. 19 meeting the commission had endorsed an agreement between Brian Lunde and the JSDC for the retirement of the debt owed to the JSDC. Lunde agreed to turn over two condominiums above the Buffalo City Grille valued at $150,000 each along with $108,000 in payment of a $408,000 debt. The JSDC agreed to cover the marketing and commissions associated with the sale of the Grille in the amount of $100,000.
