Motorcyclist killed in Minnesota crash

MONTROSE, Minn. — A University of Minnesota student from Willmar was killed Thursday in a motorcycle accident in Wright County.

The Minnesota State Patrol had not released the names of those involved in the crash, but a notice from Peterson Brothers Funeral Home said Robert Brau, 21, died as a result of injuries from the accident near Montrose.

The patrol said an eastbound car driven by a 17-year-old girl crossed the center line of U.S. Highway 12 at 9:45 a.m. Thursday and struck the motorcycle, which was heading west on Highway 12. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The patrol said charges may be filed against the driver of the car.
