The gold cup program, sponsored by the National Federation of Music Clubs, encompasses many events and encourages long-term study of music and dance. Students receive participation certificates, a rating and judges’ comments based solely on their individual performances. The highest rating a student may earn in one year is five points. Gold cups are awarded for every 15 points. Students may perform in more than one event.

In the hymn playing event, Kaitlin Mullowney and Ben Zuther both earned a 15-point cup. Other students who participated in the hymn event were Katie Falk, Steve Schmitz, Meggy Vollrath, Jada Walter, Eliana, Liza and Myles Miller and Gus, Elliot and Emma Wiley.

Liza Miller, Karla Sherfy, Falk, Walter, Mullowney and Katie and Steve Schmitz participated in the Piano Solo event. Katie Schmitz and Vollrath participated in the piano duet event, and Eliana Miller also played in the patriotic and folk song event.
