South Border seniors Madison Schnabel and Kalli Scherbenske led all scoring with 19 and 13 points, respectively, and they both came up clutch in the fourth.

Schnabel scored eight points and Scherbenske tossed in five during the big late-game run. M-P-B sophomore Brooke Krapp hit a 3-pointer and Jenna VanRay and Jayce Moldenhauer hit buckets to put the Thunder up 37-27 with under 6 minutes to play.

Jordan Thomas led the Thunder with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 steals.

Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier’s Olivia Anderson was too much to handle for the Carrington JV in the consolation championship game.

The 5-foot-11 sophomore posted 24 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks, helping the Rebels overcome a six-point third-period deficit to defeat the Cardinals 47-41. Freshman Tabitha Kinzler hit three 3-pointers in the game and scored 10 for the Rebels, while teammate Kelsey Feist hit a pair of treys and pulled in seven boards.

Maara Nelson led the Cardinals with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 6 steals.

Midkota-Kensal senior guard Saddie Harding hit a pair of 3’s and scored a game-high 15 points, leading the Mustangs (1-5) to their first victory of the season in the seventh-place game.

The Mustangs’ defense limited Warwick to less than 20-percent shooting from the field, en route to a 49-31 victory. Warwick’s 32 turnovers stung, as Midkota-Kensal outscored the Warriors 30-5 on turnovers in the game.

Freshman McKenna Frappier posted 12 points for the Mustangs, while junior Brooke Ronningen had a nice stat line with 9 points, 8 rebounds, 6 steals and 2 assists.

Seventh-grader Madison Leaf led the Warriors in scoring with 11.
