ND Rep. Scot Kelsh arrested on DUI charges
FARGO – North Dakota state Rep. Scot Kelsh, D-Fargo, was arrested Monday night by the North Dakota State Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Captain Bryan Niewind said Scot Gregory Kelsh, 51, was arrested Monday night in Fargo on I-29 near the Main Avenue exit at about 11:34 p.m. on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Kelsh, who is a 63rd district representative from Fargo, has been in the state legislature since 1996. His family has served in the state legislature for decades, and Kelsh himself is a third-generation legislative member.
He voted to pass more stringent DUI laws in the last legislative session.
Kelsh said he could not comment at this time on the advice of his attorney.
