Nebraska man killed in accident near Verona
A 35-year-old Nebraska man was killed when the semi he was driving rolled near Verona Thursday morning, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The name of the driver has not been released pending notification of relatives. He was the only occupant of the vehicle.
The 2009 International Semi was northbound on N.D. Highway 1 about 9 miles north of Verona at 7:10 a.m. when it drifted into the east road ditch and rolled. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pinned in the vehicle and died at the scene, the patrol said.
The semi was totaled, the patrol said.
