New York City to pay $18 million to settle lawsuits over 2004 arrests
NEW YORK - The city of New York announced on Wednesday that it agreed to pay close to $18 million to settle hundreds of federal civil lawsuits brought by people who claimed they were unfairly arrested during the 2004 Republican National Convention.
