No injuries in Thursday crash
About $3,000 in damage was caused to each vehicle when a driver lost control of her car and struck a parked vehicle Thursday, according to the Jamestown Police Department.
At 2:38 p.m. Thursday, Francis Boelke, 77, of Jamestown, was driving a 2011 Ford passenger car south on Gardenette Drive, in about the 1400 block.
According to the JPD report, she lost control of the vehicle, traveled over the boulevard and struck the passenger side of a 1997 Ford vehicle that was parked unattended in a driveway. In the report, Boelke said the vehicle had begun to fishtail back and forth when she was negotiating the curve.
Boelke said her knee hurt, but declined emergency medical services. The JPD listed her seat belt status as unknown. Her vehicle was towed.
She was cited for exceeded safe speed.
