Obama signs Cramer’s first bill into law
BISMARCK — President Obama has signed the first bill authored by North Dakota Republican Rep. Kevin Cramer into law.
The Bureau of Land Management Streamlining Act passed the House on May 15 and the Senate on Dec. 20. The bill includes North Dakota among a list of six states in a pilot project meant to improve the efficiency of processing federal oil and natural gas permits.
Cramer said he’s happy that the president “accepted these modest improvements” to the federal permitting process.
