One injured in rollover south of Belfield, N.D.
A 44-year-old man was injured Friday in a rollover south of Belfield, N.D., according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol. The crash occurred at about 6:49 p.m.
Thomas Schaff, Belfield, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer northbound on a gravel road on 131st Avenue Southwest approximately 1 mile south of Belfield.
Schaff lost control of his vehicle, entered the west ditch and was ejected as the vehicle overturned, the NDHP said. He was not wearing his seat belt.
Belfield Ambulance transported Schaff to Spirit Life Flight in Dickinson, N.D., where he was then flown to St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck and treated for his injuries.
Schaff was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
The crash was investigated by the North Dakota Highway Patrol with assistance from the Stark County Sheriff’s Department, Billings County Sheriff’s Department and Belfield Police Department.
