Poolman, 43, of Bismarck was driving his 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee eastbound on Main Street in Mandan around 3:10 p.m. when the westbound driver of a 1999 Dodge truck crossed a cement-curbed lane divider on the west side of the Sixth Avenue-Main Street intersection and hit Poolman’s vehicle head-on, according to the Highway Patrol.

The 68-year-old driver of the Dodge truck was killed. His name is being held pending notification of relatives.

The extent of Poolman’s injuries are not known, but the injuries are not life-threatening. He was taken by ambulance to Sanford Health in Bismarck.
