Pedestrian struck by vehicle

A 56-year-old Jamestown man was taken to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries after he was struck by a car in downtown Jamestown shortly after 3 p.m. Friday, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

Jamestown Police Sgt. Justin Blinsky said Dale Overby was walking in the crosswalk from west to east across 1st Avenue South at the 3rd Street intersection when he was struck by a car driven by Emily Anderson, 15, Jamestown.

Blinksy said Anderson was driving a 2006 Kia car on 3rd Street and turned left at a green light onto 1st Avenue, striking Overby.

Blinsky said Friday afternoon that the accident was still under investigation.
