Prairie Rose Garden Club to meet
The Prairie Rose Garden Club will hold its first meeting this year at 7 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church by Alfred Dickey Library. Guest speaker Lindsey Novak, the North Dakota State University Extension agent in Stutsman County, will speak on “Bees in your Garden.” Bees are good for the earth and provide honey for a sweetener. What do bees specifically contribute to and how they affect flower and vegetable gardens and fruit trees? Come and learn about bees in the garden. Bring any questions about this topic.
Programs planned for the coming year include a program at Country Gardens, City Forester Doug Wiles, a plant exchange, garden tour and the Jamestown Sun garden editor John Zvirovski, plus more.
Programs and meetings are open to the public. Anyone who would like to come is asked to attend. The hostess for the evening is Angie Maetzold. Afterward is the club’s business meeting. For further questions, contact Betty at 252-4582 or Gloria at 320-9557.
