Pride of Dakota signs up 500th
BISMARCK (AP) -- North Dakota's Pride of Dakota program has reached a milestone with the signup of its 500th member company, a Mandan art business.
Pride of Dakota is a program administered by the Agriculture Department that helps businesses promote products made in the state. It was launched in 1985 with about 20 member companies.
Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring said members now range from "mom and pop" type stores to large companies with more than 100 employees.
