Propane tank fire put out at N.D. casino
HANKINSON, N.D. (AP) -- More than half a dozen fire departments responded to a propane tank blaze in Hankinson early Monday that sent flames about 30 feet into the air.
Authorities tell KVLY-TV that the call at Dakota Magic Casino came in shortly before 3:30 a.m. Crews put water on the 30,000-gallon tank about 100 yards from the casino and shut off a valve.
Richland County Emergency Manager Brett Lambrecht says the casino and hotel was evacuated. People waited in their vehicles for the hour it took fire crews to get the situation under control.
