Quarter percent tax might go on the ballot
The article “Planning for new library continues” on page A1 in Tuesday’s Sun requires clarification. Library supporters are attempting to put a 1/4 percent sales tax on the ballot. Should voters approve financing for the project, the tax will raise approximately $700,000 per year for approximately 10 years or as long as it takes to pay for the project.
