Separatist targeted with vandalism
LEITH, N.D. (AP) — Authorities say they are investigating a vandalism complaint reported by a white separatist who is trying to turn the small North Dakota town of Leith into an Aryan enclave.
Craig Cobb, who has bought property in the town with the hope of developing an all-white enclave, says some people slashed tires, spray painted two vehicles and put paint on a religious building. He calls the vandalism a hate crime because people in the area know he’s a member of the Creativity religion.
Grant County Deputy Sheriff John Foss said Cobb called in a complaint, and the matter is being investigated.
