Silzy plays music at Kiwanis meeting

Lt. Mitch Brecto introduced Pearl Silzly, a piano and music instructor, at the recent Kiwanis Club meeting. She played a line of many songs and people guessed what the name was. Brecto also sang a solo.

President Janna Bergstedt led the meeting with 26 members attending. Two guests also attended. Lt. Teresa Brecto joined her husband and Vanessa Grabinger from Gate City Bank is a prospective member.

Don Caine led the group in singing and was accompanied by Sharon Caine. Tim Burchill collected “Happy Dollars” for Camp Rokiwan.

The Kiwanis Club and many volunteers packaged 200,424 meals at the Kids Against Hunger event April 5 at the Buffalo Mall.

Members were given pancake tickets to sell for pancake day on May 5.

Eric Tuchscher will introduce the speaker at the Kiwanis meeting April 21 at the Legacy Center.
