Snow removal operations going 24 hours a day; city closes scenic road
Snow removal is moving on a 24-hour basis in Jamestown, according to a press release from the city.
Crews will be focusing on downtown areas and on emergency routes and arterial streets from 11 p.m. to 11 a.m. Residential streets will receive attention primarily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Weather permitting, city crews will not be working from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday, the release said, which is Thanksgiving.
Also, the city has closed the Buffalo Scenic Road along the James River, which goes from near the entrance of Frontier Village to near the North Dakota State Hospital. The road will be closed for the remainder of the winter.
