Sons of Norway learn folk dances

Sons of Norway met at Ave Maria Village March 18. Guests were Katherine Adams and GeorgeAnn Waagen.

Deb Gletne told members about the Middle School after school program at First United Methodist Church Wednesdays at 3:15 p.m.

Marilyn Garrett and Mary Englund will contact Jamestown schools to see if they would be interested in having Sons of Norway present a program for students on Norwegian heritage.

Members will participate in the Kids Against Hunger event at the Buffalo Mall on April 5.

The Troll Dancers were in charge of the program and had fun teaching the members several Norwegian folk dances.

Judy Hatlewick and Linda Finck were hostesses.

The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. April 15 at Ave Maria Village. The program will be woodworking. Karen and Chuck Freeman and Kara Helgeson will host.
