Stenehjem selected as a Distinguished Eagle Scout
BISMARCK — North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem has a new title: Distinguished Eagle Scout.
The award will be presented to Stenehjem on Wednesday by the Northern Lights Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Stenehjem attained the rank of Eagle Scout in 1968 as part of Bismarck's Troop 14.
Fewer than one out of every 1,000 Eagle Scouts ultimately receives the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award.
It is given to those who have received extraordinary national recognition, fame or eminence within their field, and have a strong record of voluntary service to their community.
