Superintendent resigns after bringing gun to school
TIOGA, N.D. - Tioga Superintendent D'Wayne Johnston has resigned after he brought a firearm to school out of concern for safety of students and staff.
Johnston's resignation, which will be effective June 30, 2014, was accepted by the Tioga School Board on Friday.
Johnston wrote in a memo to staff this week that he had a weapon on school property on Oct. 1.
