Suspect formally charged in Williston bomb scare
WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) -- Authorities have formally charged a Williston man in a bomb scare in the city.
The Williston Herald reports (http://bit.ly/YFIlcX) 21-year-old Jordan Poindexter faces a charge called criminal attempt, possession of a bomb. It is a misdemeanor that carries a maximum punishment of a year in jail.
Court documents do not list an attorney for him. He is scheduled to enter a plea on Tuesday.
Authorities last Thursday responded to a suspected pipe bomb in a duffel bag at Oil States Energy Services and evacuated buildings in the area while the Minot Bomb Squad was called in to handle the situation.
Police have not said if Poindexter worked for the company.
