Texas man killed in Killdeer area accident

A Texas man died after an accident near Killdeer, N.D. last night. The name of the victim has not been released.

The accident occurred at 9:42 p.m. about a half mile west of Killdeer. The victim, described as a 34-year-old man from Abilene, Texas was traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 200 when he crossed the center line and struck a 2009 Peterbilt pulling a tanker trailer head on.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

The victim of the accident was ejected from his vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
