Tom Thrift of Jamestown was installed as president of the Dakota State Aerie, Fraternal Order of Eagles, for 2014-2015 at the conclusion of the Dakota State Eagles Convention held June 12-14 in Aberdeen, South Dakota.

Deborah Brown, Bismarck, was installed as president of the Dakota State Auxiliary, Fraternal Order of Eagles, for the same ensuing fraternal year 2014-2015.

Other Aerie officers elected from this area were: Richard Hass, Valley City, N.D., vice president; Ronald Keller, Harvey, N.D., treasurer, and Larry Gilge, Jamestown, inside guard,

Other Auxiliary officers elected from this area were Angel Opdahl, Harvey, inside guard.

The outgoing Auxiliary state president is Jeralyn Behm, Valley City, who now becomes junior past madam state president.

An award for Outstanding Local Aerie President was presented to Josh Guller of New Rockford.

A $500 Dakota State Eagles Scholarships grant was presented to Lexi Weber of New Rockford, who plans to attend Valley City State University.

Grand Worthy Vice President Chuck Lang of Harvey and Past Grand Madam President Joanne Rott of Jamestown also attended the convention.
