Thursday collision causes damage

A collision at an uncontrolled intersection Thursday at 18th Avenue Northeast and 2nd Place resulted in approximately $7,000 in damage and a citation for one of the drivers, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

At 9:38 a.m. Thursday, Daniel R. Lee, 66, of Jamestown, was driving a 2010 Ford passenger car west on 2nd Place Northeast.

Teresa L. Rittenbach, 60, of Jamestown, was driving a 2012 Dodge vehicle north on 18th Avenue Northeast.

Lee’s car struck Rittenbach’s vehicle in the intersection.

According to the JPD, Rittenbach said she did not see Lee’s car.

Both drivers wore seat belts. No injuries were claimed and no airbags deployed.

Rittenbach’s car received $4,000 in damage, and Lee’s received $3,000 in damage. Rittenbach’s car was not drivable and was towed from the scene.

Rittenbach was cited for failure to yield at intersection.
