Tuesday crash causes two injuries

Two injuries resulted from a two-car crash Tuesday, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

The accident happened at 3:29 p.m. at the intersection of Eighth Avenue and 10th Street Northeast.

Christopher Soulis, 18, Jamestown, was driving a 2006 Pontiac south on Eighth Avenue and stopped at the intersection with 10th Street.

Brittany Meints, 28, Jamestown, was driving a 2005 Chrysler east on 10th Street, with a 6-year-old passenger and proceeded through the intersection.

Soulis drove into the intersection and struck the vehicle Meints was driving.

Soulis, Meints and her passenger wore seat belts. Meints and the passenger had injuries and were taken to Jamestown Regional Medical Center by family members.

Damage was estimated at $3,000 each to the Pontiac and Chrysler.

Soulis was cited for failure to yield after stopping at a stop sign.
