Troske pleads guilty to murdering Pingree man, shooting New Rockford woman

UJ to host ‘A Night in a Jazz Club’

The University of Jamestown Department of Music will present “A Night in a Jazz Club” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Reiland Fine Arts Center’s DeNault Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.

Members of the Jazz Combo are Samantha Wetzel on alto sax, Reid Halvorson and Steven Deutsch on trombone, Ryan Pfau on guitar and Annika Lind on string bass.

The program will feature jazz standards such as “Caravan,” “How High the Moon” and “Chameleon.”

Featured vocalists will sing solos including “Orange Colored Sky,” “I’ve Got a Crush on You” and “Baby It’s Cold Outside.”

The vocalists are Heather Erbele, Sydney Johnson, Katie Roehm and Jacoby Holte.

“This will be a casual performance with audience members sitting on stage with the musicians,” said Laura Zamzow, director of bands.

Upcoming department of music performances are a senior vocal recital by Beth Paulson on Dec. 4, the Wind Ensemble’s Christmas Concert on Dec. 8 and the Choral Christmas Concert Dec. 13-15.
