UJ hosting soccer camp in July

The University of Jamestown Men’s Residential Soccer Camp is set for July 6-10.

The camp features multiple daily training sessions with an evening match. An all-star match is also planned. Also offered is participating in the college process, which includes a tour and admissions presentation.

The camp will feature state, regional, national and international coaches.

“The purpose of the camp is to create an experience for the camper and to open their eyes to the way things work at the college level,” Jimmie men’s coach Tommy Nienhaus said. “I’m a firm believer in player development, but at the camp setting that is very difficult due to short duration of the camp. Instead we’ll focus on creating a growth mindset and to empower them to take responsibility for their development.”
