Virginia R. Christ Evans

Virginia "Ginny" Evans, 72, of Bozeman, MT, formerly of Jamestown, ND, died Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital of a heart attack, with her daughter at her side.

Virginia Rae Christ was born July 15, 1941, the daughter of Wallace and Ruby (Titsworth) Christ in Jamestown, ND. She was raised there and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1959. She attended Northwest Institute of Medical Laboratory Technique in Minneapolis, MN and worked as a medical technician in clinics and hospitals in Jamestown, Grand Forks, and McVille, ND.

On June 18, 1961, she married Peter Bunde in Jamestown, ND. They raised three daughters, including identical twins. Peters school administration career led them to live in various North Dakota communities. After 20 years of marriage, the couple divorced and she married Robert Klostermann of Jamestown in 1982. They resided in Jamestown and Mesa, AZ. Klostermann died in 1987. She spent several years as a snow bird in Mesa and summers traveling and living on the Oregon coast. In 1995, she married John Evans in Mount Vernon, Iowa. They resided in Mesa and Iowa. Evans died in 2003. In 2011, she made Bozeman, MT her year-round home to be close to her grandchildren.

Ginny loved creating a beautiful life and a fun time for her family, friends and communities. She will be remembered for having boundless energy, a generous spirit, a one-of-a-kind laugh, terrific style and gorgeous white hair. She was enthusiastic about entertaining, decorating for holidays, traveling, and civic participation. She will be remembered for her role as "Miss Kitty" at Jamestowns Frontier Village and as an extra in the movie "Free Willy." She felt blessed to be a mother and grandmother and loved that we were all "best friends."

Ginny is survived by her daughter, Jodi Bunde of Jamestown; daughter, Shae (Jeff) Thompson, and grandson, Peter, of Bozeman; daughter, Shelly Bunde (Brodie Cates) and granddaughter, Hazel Videon, of Bozeman; stepchildren, Sandy (Phil) LaVoi, Walker, MN, Linda (Willy) Fauth, Sheridan, WY, Jean (Rick) Vanden Heuval, Hudson, WI, Rick (Heidi Wilson) Evans, Montour Falls, NY, and Kris Evans, Iowa City, IA; six step-grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren; and brother, Jim Christ of Jamestown. Ginny was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Charles Christ.

Cremation took place on Nov. 8. Arrangements are in the care of Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service in Bozeman (www.dokkennelson.com). A private Celebration of Life will be held in Bozeman on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 5:00 P.M.

Memorial Service and interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Jamestown are planned for July 2014.
