Voters reject school measures

ELLSWORTH, Wis. — Ellsworth School District voters rejected two referendum questions Tuesday.

A facility referendum failed with about 60 percent of voters against — 1,379 opposed, 901 in favor.

The operational referendum, which would have allowed $800,000 in additional revenue for the next three academic years, was closer at 54.5 percent against, 45.5 percent in support. The vote was 1,243 opposed, 1,038 in favor.

The results are unofficial until 4:15 p.m. Monday.
